The latest recovered sofa at Acanthus.
We worked with Shannon Christenberry at Manor Fine Wares and together we designed and built four large scale ottomans. You can take a look at these very attractive and sturdy pieces at their store on 23rd avenue in Northwest Portland.
Our customer has had these chairs for 60 years and they are still in great shape!
This sofa is round everywhere. It can be tricky to upholster a sofa that is round everywhere, but Alex and April nailed it!
Most of the custom made sofas and sectionals that we build are contemporary. Rectilinear type designs. But it’s always a nice to upholsterer the round forms of a more traditional shaped sofa. Here is our latest effort in that regard. This is a reupholstered sofa. Our client chose a striped fabric and an accent welt that gives this piece a bit of a contemporary flair.
Here is the button tufted “badass” couch in all it finished glory!
A customer brought us what he called his “badass” couch to be reupholstered. We removed all material down to the frame because it required some serious structural repairs. Here it sits, waiting for roughmans gentle touch.
I love this Danish modern chair. Like so much Danish modern furniture, there is so much elegance and simplicity in it’s design and function. This chair reclines , and is very comfortable. The headrest on the back is adjustable by way of counterweights on the back of the straps. Form, function, beauty and comfort, doesn’t get better.
One of our favorite customers brought two of their cats “favorite” couches to be reupholstered. They picked an earthly burnt umber fabric to fit the rustic setting at their vacation home. This is one of them. It is sooo comfortable. A good place to snuggle up with a good book. The “Cats Cradle”, perhaps.
